The view of the loading cranes at Burchard Kai in Hamburg is breathtaking. It was the perfect place to name a ship of superlative stature: the new luxury liner Mein Schiff 1. And we made the naming ceremony a truly fiery event.

From two pontoons in the harbor basin, we illuminated the night with a fireworks display of the highest caliber: the music-synchronized fireworks crowned the ship’s naming ceremony, quite literally. An impressive fire crown made of blue comets reflected the significance of Mein Schiff 1 within the TUI Cruises fleet, captivating not only the guests on the ship but also viewers online and the many spectators on the shores of the Elbe.
